As a GIAN PI, I felt overwhelmed to bring to Prof. Emmanuel Bouzy to IIT Hyderabad and hosted him in teaching Electron Microscopy course. The participants were enthralled to learn and understand the importance of electron microscopy through the teachings and direct discussions. Many participants are still keeping contact with me for further research guidance related to this field.

The GIAN program is an excellent initiative that allows us to bring in reputed international scholars from all over the globe in order to teach and interact with students in India who do not have opportunities otherwise for traveling abroad for such purposes. Through the GIAN course, students are provided with exposure to top-end scholarship. The GIAN program also has the potential for furthering research collaborations between the foreign scholar and the Indian scholar. I have also gone on to establish research collaborations with the foreign faculty and thus it has been a useful program.
